Just a week after first Eurocup race of the season, Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup got underway at one of the most famous tracks in the calendar – Monza, Italy.
Robert Shwartzman started the first race from P7 after his best qualifying lap was interrupted by red flags. It was not the best start for the Russian as he found himself in P10 after the first lap. Later on he overtook some of his opponents and finished 5th setting the best lap time among all drivers - 1:50.448.
Second race was not so successful as Shwartzman was forced to retire because of mechanical problems with his front wheel. Despite some contacts in the first chicane he was again one of the fastest drivers on track proving the optimistic prediction about his debut Formula Renault 2.0 season.
